Global Mosaic Foundation’s Main Stage Season
Aesthetic
of Awe
Four works. One proposition.
Four works about what remains when suffering can no longer make us innocent.
Across mythic fable, intimate contemporary drama and a work shaped by the theatrical heritage of each place, Aesthetic of Awe brings people to the limits of the stories they tell about themselves. A painful past, a declaration of love, a sincerely held truth: each meets another person whose life it cannot explain away. What follows demands a choice, and that choice carries a cost.
Awe begins where consolation ends.

The Story Of Simple

IIThe Innerwild Fables
Orlin’s Hunt
A play by Georgie Castilla
What would you destroy to be free of your past?
Orlin seeks Oblivion after hurting a younger boy. The hunt for a unicorn’s horn promises escape, but each attempt leaves more lives damaged. Through live performance and life-size puppetry, a dark fairytale confronts the violence of those who suffer and the control exercised by those who love them.

IIIThe Innerwild Fables
Echo’s Soul
A play by Georgie Castilla
He calls it love. Listen to what he leaves out.
A storyteller offers a fable of a fisherman and his abandoned Soul. Beneath its longing for reunion lies a refusal the Soul cannot accept. Loosely inspired by a short story by Oscar Wilde, Echo’s Soul brings the desire to possess another person into collision with the need to be believed.
