Miss Austen Spills the Tea

Between 14:00 and 14:30, historian and educator Lena Yasutake demonstrates the Regency manner of making tea, while discussing the role of tea, etiquette, and gossip in Austen's novels and letters. Participants can see, hear, taste, and touch throughout the presentation.

Period costumes of the early 1800s (any global culture) are admired, though by no means required.
